Remembering DEATH is the key to success

The Essence of the Holy Qur’an

Every soul shall taste death, and you will indeed be paid your reward in full on the Day of  Resurrection.
(Surah 3. Al Imran, verse – 185)

Dear brothers and sisters,
You have probably heard of Steve Jobs. He was an American entrepreneur, business magnate,  inventor, industrial designer, and a chairman, CEO, and co-founder of Apple. So he was a  successful person in the world. But behind his success, there was a story named “Remembering  DEATH in every aspect of life”.
Steve Jobs said: “When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: “If you live each day as  if it was your last, someday you’ll most certainly be right”. It made an impression on me, and  since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If  today were the last day of my life, what I want to do what I am about to do today?” And  whenever the answer has been “NO” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change  something. Remembering that I will be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever  encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything, all external  expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure, these things just fall away in the face  of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best  way to avoid the trap of this World.”
From this story of Steve Jobs, we can easily understand that why remembering death is so much  important to success in life. Successful people remember death more and more so that they can do  the best things within their short lives. Our Prophet (PBUH) was one of the most successful  people in the world. Because, within only 23 years, someone like him could not change the world  so much. Prophet (PBUH) remembered death more than 70 times a day. Not only that, he said:  “The wisest among the believers is a person who always remembers the death and works best.”
